When an opponent goes shin to shin most of their sweeps, transitions to other guards, and attacks rely on falling to the opposite side of the shin to shin. Here Matt Darcy shows forcing them to the same side and on their backs to take away some of the leverage they will have. By using good shoulder pressure and some legwork wizardry, Matt shows how to get to the mounted position.
