When the opponent attempts a negative pass it is important to obtain far shoulder connection with a collar grip either behind the neck or under the armpit. This will pull their shoulder to help take some of their weight off you. Using your foot to elevate the leg, grip on the knee, and pulling of the collar grip to twist your opponent while you kick them over completes the sweep.
